Jeanne Servais and Wayne Jones purchased the building in May 2012. With a vision in mind for a warm and welcoming space to share with the community to practice yoga, they renovated the building, recycling and reusing as much as possible. The studio opened for business on January 1, 2013 with a special New Years Day practice.
On March 15, 2019, Jeanne and Wayne sold Quest for Balance to Julianne Miranda, who brings a host of other wellness practices to complement the studio’s core yoga practice. Julianne intends to honor the studio’s origins and will always focus on yoga, while bringing additional offerings of Reiki, meditation, drumming and life-coaching to energize the space.
The studio has a welcoming lobby and a large studio space for practicing yoga, Pilates, and meditation. Nice touches to help soothe the soul include the heated bamboo floors and beautiful eastern view, allowing one to soak in the sunshine as well as sunrises and sunsets, if those happen to coincide with a class!
Of special note are the studio’s organic gardens that provide a unique, natural landscaping for the studio. The vegetable and herb gardens are shared with customers. After class, when in season, customers can pick greens, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, squashes and more!
