Reclined Eagle apanasanaOur plans for Quest For Balance Yoga continue to evolve. This is hard message for me to write. It is with many mixed emotions that we announce our plans to move to California, first Wayne as early as February, with me to follow by June. Wayne has a job offer with a company in the Bay area and is also pursuing a position in Southern California. We will make a decision very soon, but our plans will become more clear in the very near future. It is my plan to stay here, teach and manage the studio until we are able to sell it.

At Quest For Balance, we want to continue to offer classes for as long as it is possible. Obviously, the studio is for sale and you will notice a “For Sale” sign on the studio grounds soon. The best possible outcome for all of us would be for the studio to remain a yoga studio, but we cannot control that.

In preparation for the sale, effective immediately, all 5 class and 10 class passes will be valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. Twenty (20) class passes will be valid until May 31, 2019. If the studio closes earlier than that, customers can request a refund for the value of unused, valid classes on their pass. QFB will continue to honor all valid passes and gift certificates purchased prior to December 26, 2018. We encourage these pass holders to try and utilize their classes prior to May 31, 2019. If they are unable to do so, they also can request a refund for the value of their unused classes.

I would like to continue this conversation with you as Wayne and I navigate this transition, keeping you abreast of new developments and sharing my thoughts and yoga. If you are interested in following me, I’ve created this “Blog” page. This message will be my first entry and I am venturing into new territory for me. You can respond or comment on the Blog page if you would like.

And that’s not all. Even prior to Wayne’s job offer, Jamie Douglas approached me with a request to take a leave from teaching yoga due to increased demands in her job at Wabash. We hope this is temporary, but fully support her in trying to create balance in her life. So you will also notice some schedule changes. At least for now, Chair Yoga and Monday evening All-Levels Vinyasa will not be offered. Please trust me that I am looking for solutions to continue to offer additional classes, if possible. I recommend checking our online schedule for the most current, up-to-date offerings. If there’s one thing I’ve learned to accept in my lifetime it’s this: the only thing that is constant, is change!

I hope to see you for our 6th anniversary celebration on New Year’s Day! Happy New Year!
