Befriend Your Backbends

3:30 – 5 p.m.

Backbends can be intimidating as they are in direct contrast to many of our habitual patterns (think driving, computer work, etc.) that cause the spine to enter a more rounded shape.  Learn how to safely develop a backbending practice. Experience a sequenced flow designed to help you feel more open and more ease in your backbends. Roll and Restore
September 9
6 – 7:30 p.m.

Empower your own self care with myofascial massage using therapy balls. Great for people with chronic or acute tension in their body. Helps improve posture and mobility. Enhances performance by improving mobility of hips, back, neck and shoulders, This is a great class to wake up the body’s tissues, finishing with restorative postures to induce relaxation prior to sleep.
No yoga experience required.

Introduction to Yoga
September 10, 13, 17, 20
7 – 8:30 p.m.

New schedule offers the Intro. Series over 2 weeks to allow for more continuity between classes. For those who are new to yoga or who want a refresher, this series teaches basic poses, breathing techniques used in yoga and sun salutations. Enrollment is limited and an interactive mindset is encouraged. Get feedback on your poses, learn how to use props and start your path on a yoga supported wellness practice! For more information…

  7. On Friday community yoga do you have to bring your own mat? I have never done yoga but I’m very interested in trying. I can’t make the introduction classes in April and May because I have to be at work at 6:45am., so I thought I would check out Fridays classes and the class on sciatica.

    1. Hi Teri, thanks for your interest in our studio! We have extra mats at the studio you can use. Friday classes should be fine and I’d love to have you take the Sciatica class. I will also be offering another Intro. series in June on Monday evenings. ~ Jeanne
